Dr Agrawal started his career in psychiatry in 2000. He completed dual training (general adult and old age psychiatry) at the prestigious Barts & Royal London rotation. He has experience of working in general adult psychiatry, old age psychiatry, forensic psychiatry, learning disabilities, intensive care units, acute in-patient units and community psychiatry. Currently he is employed full time in the NHS as a community psychiatrist in Brentwood, Essex.
He has a special interest in mood and anxiety disorders as well as adult ADHD.

Dr Agrawal has been working as Clinical Director in the NHS since 2009. After 14 years of being at senior management level, he has decided to pursue other interests. He has vast experience of leading, developing and establishing clinical services in psychiatry. He has a passion for safe, effective and efficient service. He strives hard to improve clinical services in the area and he brings that expertise to Clarus.

Dr Agrawal is a Consultant Psychiatrist specialising in the mental health of older adults. She qualified to be a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych) in 2010. She was placed on the GMC Specialist Register in old age psychiatry in 2013. She has been a Consultant Psychiatrist for Older Adults in Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (EPUT) since 2013
Dr Agrawal completed her Masters in Advancing Healthcare Practice in 2013. She has a keen interest in developing and improving healthcare systems.
Dr Agrawal has had a wide range of experience in overseeing services including older adult inpatient ward and older adult community mental health team.
She runs the Memory Service in Basildon. Dr Agrawal has experience in the diagnosis and management of cognitive disorders and the psychiatric and behavioural symptoms which commonly accompany these conditions.
Dr Agrawal also has extensive experience in the diagnosis, treatment and management of functional mental illnesses such as mood disorders and psychosis as well as capacity assessments.

Dr Agrawal is a peer reviewer in Memory Services National Accreditation Programme (MSNAP) of The Royal College of Psychiatrists which inspects and approves accreditation of memory services across the country.
Dr Agrawal is also a peer reviewer of Acute Inpatient Mental Health Services – Older People (AIMS-OP) of The Royal College of Psychiatrists, which provides accreditation to inpatients services across the country.
Dr Agrawal is interested in the area of doctor’s health. She is a GMC approved Health Examiner and Medical Supervisor for doctors who may have health problems.
Dr Agrawal represents older adult psychiatry directorate as a member of Local Negotiating Committee (LNC) in her own organization.
